941 Language of silence
You called me to live in silence
Only for that you gave me solitude
You added your grace along with it
You made me to praise you by thinking that
Your will is very strange
Neither the world nor the mind can understand it
When I come and bow at your feet
You will make me to understand it by remaining within me
All the uproars should calm down
The ego also get perished along with it
Even the buddhi should bow down
Your grace should be along with it
Till you come and talk
There should be peace in heart
That peace fills the mind
I should listen to your voice in it
Forgetting the world for sometime
Mingling with you in my inner feeling
Adding my five senses along with it
My heart will know to dwell in your peace
When I drown in that peace
Both my mind and heart won’t experience it
When I come out from it
Not any language but silence alone can communicate it

Man is a social being and he needs other human beings not only to have fellowship but even to survive as a human being. No man is an island and our very identity depends upon our interaction with others. I strongly believe in it. At the same time the desire to have a life of recluse to keep minimum contact with outside world is there for me even from my teen ages. I can live and even lived several months with minimum contact with outside world. Now only the modern electronic gadgets have come to provide contact with outside world (and also to disturb us). But even when these facilities were not there, I lived a life of recluse for several months. At the same time I know that this too is a gift from God and many cannot live like this. Of course when we (or I) have all that I required to live a comfortable life I can talk about such a life very easily and even take for granted. But this longing and the life that I prefer never gives any depression to me. On the other hand I always enjoy it very much. But to have such a life we need some disciplines which we need to cultivate regularly. However at the end still I cannot understand or able to communicate why this desire is there. And the only response that I can give is silence.

அமைதியாய் வாழ அடியனை அழைத்தாய்
அதற்கெனவே தான் தனிமையைக் கொடுத்தாய்
அத்துடன் உனது கிருபையைச் சேர்த்தாய்
அதையெண்ணி உன்னை துதித்திட வைத்தாய்
உனது சித்தம் விசித்திரமானது
உலகோ மனமோ அதைப் புரியாது
உன்னடி வந்து பணிந்திடும் போது
உணர்ந்திட வைப்பாய் உள்ளே இருந்து
ஆரவாரமெல்லா அடங்கிட வேண்டும்
அகந்தையும் அத்துடன் ஒழிந்திட வேண்டும்
அறிவும் கூடப் பணிந்திட வேண்டும்
அத்துடன் உனது கிருபையும் வேண்டும்
நீயே வந்து பேசிடும் வரையில்
நெஞ்சில் அமைதி நிலவிட வேண்டும்
அந்த அமைதி சிந்தையில் நிறைய
அதிலே உன்குரல் கேட்டிட வேண்டும்
உலகம் தன்னை சற்றே மறக்க
உள்ளுணர்வோடு உன்னில் கலக்க
ஐம்புலன் தன்னை அத்துடன் இணைக்க
அறியும் மனதுன் அமைதியில் நிலைக்க
அந்த அமைதியில் மூழ்கிடும் போது
அறிவும் மனதும் அதை உணராது
மீண்டும் வெளியே வந்திடும் போது
மவுனமே அன்றி மொழி உரைக்காது
