1026 God alone should uphold us
If we become proud
He will oppose
He will uphold
The simple one
He will leave
The decision to choose
Which one
We want
When we think that
It belongs to me
He will snatch it
From us within the blink of an eye
When we think that
It will remain permanently
He will remove it
When we are watching it
We don’t have
Any permanent thing with us
We too never remain
Stable
In this life
Which does not remain permanent?
There is nothing for us to claim
Ours here
Why should
Proud come in this
The thought that ‘mine’
Should be removed completely
When he gives
Receiving with much humility
We should live
With detachment on it
Along with desire for material needs
Overcoming the desire of senses
Along with it
Giving up egoism
Accepting simplicity
Completely
We should complete our life
Allowing God to uphold us

Unless God upholds us, there is no chance for us to keep anything in life—material or relationship. As I was meditating upon it, I wrote this song.

இறுமாப்பு கொண்டாலே
இறைவனே எதிர்ப்பான்
எளிமை உடையோரை
தாங்கியே பிடிப்பான்
எதுவேண்டும் என்பதை
தீர்மானம் செய்வதை
இறுதியில் அவனும்
நம்மிடம் விடுவான்
எனதென்ற எண்ணம்
நாம்கொண்ட போது
இமைத்திடும் நேரத்தில்
அதனையும் எடுப்பான்
எப்போதும் இருக்கும்
என்றிடும் போது
கண்பார்க்க அதையும்
பறித்துக் காட்டுவான்
நிலையான ஒன்று
நம்மிடம் இல்லை
நிலையாக நாமும்
இருப்பதும் இல்லை
கணநேரம் கூட
நிலையாத வாழ்வில்
நமதென்று ஏதும்
நமக்கிங்கு இல்லை
இறுமாப்பு இதிலே
எதற்காக வரணும்
எனதென்ற எண்ணம்
முற்றாக நீங்கணும்
அவன்தரும் போது
பணிந்துமே ஏற்று
அதன்மீது பற்றற்று
வாழ்ந்திடப் பழகணும்
பொருளாசை யோடு
புலனாசை வென்று
அதனுடன் அகம்பாவம்
அதனையும் துறந்து
எளிமை ஒன்றையே
முழுதாக ஏற்று
இறைவனே தாங்க
வாழ்ந்து முடிக்கணும்
