517 Don’t forsake
Don’t reject anything
Thinking that it is not useful
Don’t avoid anyone thinking that
Let them realize
Don’t forgot
The proverb that
Even a small stick
Will be useful as teeth-pick
Why they say that
Even the first wife will be
Useful to
Stand as a support for a falling roof@
Even the old people
Who now become cripple
Will come and support you
When you are in trouble
There is nothing
Remains un-useful
On this world
Unnecessarily
A thing which
We rejected now
Might remained
Useful once upon a time
Remember that
Once its usefulness is
Came to an end
Now I have rejected it
As long as we live
On this earth
Both things and people
Will remain useful to us
They will remain
Useful to us
As the way
We handle them
Therefore before
You reject anything
Think about it
One more time
Then taking
Any decision
Will be useful
Believe this

@ A Tamil proverb.
Some books are highly technical and written only for specialist with lots of information and technical terms. Most of the Anthropological books based on field records are the best example for this. So when I read such books, sometimes I will only browse several pages which contain only lots of technical information with lots of sophisticated words which are beyond my comprehension. But in this process sometimes I miss some valuable information. This happened today as I was reading on the ‘History in the Vernacular’. Some chapters in this book are irrelevant for most of us. So when I was skipping some pages I realized that I have missed some important point. So I returned back to those pages again and I found valuable information on my favourite topic ‘bhakti’. Don’t worry I am not going to share it here.
The same happens when we ignore or avoid other people in our lives. We may not have time for them as they are not so important for our life. But when an opportunity comes to involve with them, we should not avoid them as we might learn some valuable lessons from them. According to my understanding whether we involve or avoid life is going to move for everyone. But those who avoid or ignore or withdraw will miss more than those who we try to avoid. In fact whether we involve or avoid no one can live ignoring all. Because even this avoiding or ignoring is another kind of ‘involving’. By avoiding we are involving indirectly by allowing (or helping) them to live without us and we too missing them in our lives. So better don’t avoid others when they seek us. At the same time don’t involve too much by disturbing them often. Sometimes we need to browse several pages in our life too at the same time not missing important points.
As I say in the song there is nothing un-useful in this world in our lives. Even those things or people whom we think un-useful were useful before one time. Only after using at least one time we can decide whether a things or relationship is useful or not. So nothing is un-useful in creation—both men and matter.
