Rabindranath Tagore though born in India still he belongs to humanity. He is known as a great poet. But he is also a profound thinker and an idealist who tried his best to live up to his own creed. I am enjoying some of his writings. Though I cannot compare me with him in any way, still I found in him a person—a soul mate who gave expression to my own thoughts and inner struggle. When I was reading his writings I was overwhelmed the way I could find my own echo in his writings. As a poet though he preferred a solitary life to live in his world still he involved with humanity as he cannot keep away from his identity with it. The result is great many poems, dramas and other writings. As I completed his letter to his friend C.F. Andrews I found some kind of guidance to my need at present. So I am going to share of important extractions from this book. But to begin with I would like to post the Appendix II first which will show how deeply he thought about so many issues confronting us. This is from: Rabindranath Tagore: LETTERS TO A FRIEND, Edited with Two Introductory Essays by C. F. Andrews, London, George Allen, Reprint [1928] 1929 pp. 191-193
