373 No emissary is required
I need not observe time and season
And I don’t need to observe rituals and vows
It is enough to think Him only in my heart—O Parrot
The entire thought becomes sweet
He is like the cloud
And has charity as His nature
He bestows the boon—O Parrot
To His devotees who desire them.
He has merciful heart
And came to the world to take care of us
And by keeping us on His hands—O Parrot
He will tell ‘don’t be troubled’.
In order to fulfill the will of Father
And to redeem us by giving Himself
Having much humility—O Parrot
He died on the cross
He lord over by redeeming us
And He came only to save us
And when we plead with penitence—O Parrot
He will receive us by forgiving.
You don’t need to go anymore as a messenger
And you don’t need to convey my sorrow
Once He become my companion—O Parrot
Why I need your emissary anymore?

This morning from the movement I got up, I began to think again and again about the Lord. That thought continued when I went to the bath room to brush my teeth. Then I experienced that my mind/heart began to sing automatically using the first line. That time almost before I come out from the bath room, I wrote this song in my mind which I recorded later.
These kinds of songs in which sending parrot, flower, cloud (Megdut) etc. as messenger is a kind of poetic genre in Indian literature.
373 தூது போகவேண்டாம்
நேரம் காலம் பார்க்க வேண்டாம்
நோண்பு விரதம் காக்க வேண்டாம்
நெஞ்சில் நினைந்தால் போதும்-கிளியே
நினைவெல்லாம் இனிமையாகும்
கொண்டல் மேகம் போன்றவனாம்
கொடைத் தன்மை கொண்டவனாம்
வேண்டிடும் அடியார்க்கு–கிளியே
விரும்பி வரம் தருவானடி
கருணை உள்ளம் கொண்டவனாம்
காக்க வேண்டி வந்தவனாம்
’கலங்காதே’ என்று சொல்லி–கிளியே
கரத்தில் ஏந்திக் காப்பானடி
தந்தை சித்தம் நிறைவாக்க
தன்னைத் தந்து நம்மை மீட்க
தாழ்மை தன்னில் கொண்டுமே–கிளியே
தருவில் ஏறி மாண்டானடி
மீட்டு ஆட் கொண்டவனாம்
மீட்க வேண்டி வந்தவனாம்
மனதுருகி வேண்டும் போது–கிளியே
மன்னித்தே ஆட்கொள்வானாம்
தூது நீயும் போக வேண்டாம்
என்துயரை நீயும் சொல்ல வேண்டாம்
என்துணை அவன் ஆனபின்னே–கிளியே
