497 Should receive when He gives
When you give I should receive
Whether it is good or bad, whatever might be it?
And when I receive I should think about you
And I should think that it is only for my good
A mother knows the need of her baby
And she will sacrifice herself in serving it
There is none who can take care of a baby
Which does not understands good or bad
More than a mother
When you redeemed me by your grace
There is none other than you
Who can take care of me who do not know good or bad?
Who can do good to this mean one?
Who does not know to analyse
Which one is good or bad for my life?
Though thousands of desires arise in my heart
As long there is a body
There will be always some need for it
But I live unable to give up my longing for them
And this is the reality in life
Therefore knowing what is my requirement
And when it should be provided
And whichever it might be
You should give a heart to receive it alone

Though our physical needs demand more and more from the Lord, yet when we realize that He knows what to give according to our need and when, then some kind of solace occupies our mind.
497 தரும்போது பெறவேண்டும்
நீதரும் போது நான்பெற வேண்டும்
நன்மையோ-தீமையோ எதுவான போதும்
நான் பெறும் போதும் உன்நினைவு வேண்டும்
நல்லதற்கே என நான் எண்ண வேண்டும்
தாயறிவாளே தன்சேயின் தேவையை
தன்னைத் துறப்பாளே அதனின் சேவையில்
நன்மை-தீமை அறியாக் குழவியைத்
தாயன்றி இங்கு புரப்பார் எவருமே இல்லை
தாயினும் சாலப் பரிந்துநீ பாவியைத்
தயவுடன் ஆட்கொண்டு அருளிய பின்னே
நன்மை-தீமை அறியா நாயேனை
நீயன்றி இனி எவருமே புரப்பவர் இல்லை
உள்ளத்தில் ஆயிரம் தேவைகள் தோன்றினும்
உதவுமோ அவையாவும் வாழ்க்கைக்கு என்று
எண்ணியே ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கின்ற தன்மையை
இல்லாத கடையனுக்கு யார்செய்வார் நன்மையை
தேகம் ஒன்று இருக்கின்ற வரையில்
தேவைக்கு என்றும் குறைவுமே இல்லை
ஆயினும் அவைமீது கொண்டுள்ள இச்சையைத்
துறக்கவே முடியாது வாழ்கின்றேன் உண்மையே
எனவே என்தேவை எதுவென அறிந்து
எப்போத் தரவேண்டும் என்பதைப் புரிந்து
எதுவாக இருந்தாலும் நீதரும் போது
ஏற்கின்ற மனம்மட்டும் எனக்கருள வேண்டும்
