642 If God asks?
If God asks ‘who is responsible’
Pointing to several things in nature
When He questions us
What kind of answer can we give?
He put boundaries to so many things
Protected us by not allowing them to cross their limits
He arranged proper means for them all
He created so many things and handover them to us
He kept path to the birds of the sky
Created so many wonders under the deep sea
He arranged everything so beautifully
Which are on this earth?
Along with them, He also created us
Gave everything for us
Finally spoiling all of them
We now question him
At the end when God opened His mouth
With much bewilderment we kept quiet
When He asked so many questions
We kept silence not saying anything to Him
Other than standing folding our hands
We don’t have any answer to His questions
When we stop asking questions
We won’t lack anything
He kept us as the answer for our questions
Before questioning Him, He asks us to thinking about it
But forgetting that
We only question God

I am reading the book of Job as part of my every day reading from Purvaveda. After Job and his friends finished their dialogue, today I read chapter 38 where God began to talk. After reading when I was reflecting about it, I wrote this song as we have no answer once God began to talk. And several times God kept us as the answer to several questions that we asked to God. Once we realize this then keeping quite before His presence is the only option left with us.
642 இறைவன் கேட்டால்
யாரென்று இறைவனும் கேட்கும்போது
என்னதான் பதில் நாம் கூறுவது
இயற்கையின் நியதியை எடுத்துரைத்து
எண்ணில்லாக் கேள்விகள் கேட்கும்போது
எல்லைகள் பலவற்றை வகுத்தானே
அவையேதுமே மீறாமல் காத்தானே
பலவற்றைப் படைத்துமே தந்தானே
பாதைகள் அவற்றுக்கும் வகுத்தானே
வானத்தின் பறவைக்கு வழிவகுத்தான்
ஆழத்தில் அற்புதம் பல சமைத்தான்
பூமிக்கு மேலாக உள்ளவற்றை
முற்றிலும் நேர்த்தியாய் அவனமைத்தான்
இவற்றுடன் நம்மையும் அவன் படைத்தான்
அனைத்தையும் நம்வசம்தான் கொடுத்தான்
அவற்றையும் பாழாக்கிப் போட்டுவிட்டு
அவனையே கேள்விகள் நாம்கேட்டோம்
இறுதியில் இறைவனும் வாய்திறக்க
ஏதுமே பேசாமல் நாம் திகைத்தோம்
எண்ணற்ற கேள்விகள் கேட்கும்போது
ஏதுமே பேசாமல் நாம் இருந்தோம்
கைகட்டி வாய் பொத்தி நிற்பதன்றி
கேள்விக்கு எவ்விதப் பதிலும் இல்லை
கேள்விகள் கேட்பதை நிறுத்தும்போது
நம்மிடம் பணிவுக்குப் பஞ்சமில்லை
கேள்விக்குப் பதிலாக நம்மை வைத்தான்
கேட்கும்முன் அதனையும் நினைக்கச் சொன்னான்
ஆயினும் அதனையும் மறந்துவிட்டு
இறைவனைக் கேள்விகள் கேட்கின்றோம்
