Spending a day
Not singing your glory
Remains a shortage
For me.
It really surprises me
If I didn’t
Come to you
To bow at your feet
I am not
Let a day go
Without fulfilling
All my needs
I never remain
Not running
Seeking after
All my needs!
But it is
Not good
To live
Despising my atman
When the need of the body
Along with that of mind is denied
Then both body and mind
Become tired
When the need of
My heart is denied
Along with heart, my body also
Will stop functioning.
But when the
Need of the atman comes
Then even I
Won’t think about it
But you
Coming silently
Remind me
About its need
Therefore I
Come again
To worship at your feet
Few seconds.
And the blessing
That I received because of it
I try to share
With few words through this poem.

Another day with busy work in reading too much and typing too much and doing other works. I couldn’t even go to dhyanamandapa to spend some time quietly with the Lord. So night when I sat for my meditation and reflection of the day, it really surprised me that when I run pillar to post for my physical and mental needs, how I completely ignore the need of my atman. As I recalled I wrote this song and sang it as my prayer of this day.

உன்னைப்போற்றி பாடாது
ஒருநாள் போவது
உண்மையில் எனக்கொரு
குறையாக இருக்குது
உனைநாடி வந்து
பணியாமல் இருப்பது
உண்மையில் எனக்குமே
வியப்பாக இருக்குது
ஒருநேரம் கூட
ஒருவிதத் தேவையை
ஒருநாளும் நானும்
விடுவதாய் இல்லை
உடலோடு மனதின்
தேவையைத் தேடி
ஓயாமல் நானும்
ஓடாமல் இல்லை
ஆயினும் ஆன்மாவை
அலட்சிய செய்து
வாழ்வது மட்டும்
சரியாக இல்லை
உடலின் தேவைகள்
மறுக்கப் பட்டாலோ
உடலொடு மனமும்
சோர்ந்துதான் போகும்
உள்ளத்தின் தேவையும்
மறுக்கப் பட்டாலோ
மனதோடு உடலும்
ஓய்ந்துமே போகும்
ஆன்மாவின் தேவை
எனவரும் போது
அதைப்பற்றி எண்ணம்
வந்திட மறுக்கும்
ஆயினும் நீயோ
அமைதியாய் வந்து
அதுபற்றி சொல்லி
புரிந்திட வைத்தாய்
அதனால் நானும்
சிலநொடி நேரம்
உன்னடி பணிந்து
தொழுதிட வந்தேன்
அதன்மூலம் நானும்
பெறுகின்ற பேற்றை
சிலவரி கொண்டு
பாடியும் வைத்தேன்
