1091 Who is responsible?
Not knowing which one I lost
Not knowing the reason I was troubled
To know only that I came to you
As you told about it I remain silent
You told that I didn’t miss my relationship with you
You told that I didn’t lost my rights with you
You told that I didn’t forgot to worship you everyday
But you told me that I have lost one thing.
“By giving which reason I called you
In which condition I have redeemed you
Though you stumbled in between many times
For what reason again I accepted you back?
Are there not angles to sing my praise?
Are there not enough men to do my work?
Are there not enough tongues to sing my glory?
Are there not enough bhaktas to do my seva?
What is the use of writing so many songs?
What is the use of living for me?
Once you have lost your first love
What is the use of doing many things in vain?”
I don’t have the answer for this
Because this is not new to me
I don’t have love as you have for me
But I am not responsible for this
Who gave this unstable mind?
Who put me in trial every day?
Who told me that
Nothing will separate us?
After giving response to these questions
You better tell me how I lost (that first love)
Once it become clear that it is no more I but you (live in me)
If I lost it, who is responsible for that

Since past few weeks I am not interested in writing anything, particularly poems. When inspiration comes I deliberately try to avoid it. But I feel that I have missed something in my relationship with the Lord. So this night when I was meditating I asked the Lord which is the one thing which I have lost with him. Then the argument began between us. As usual as an argumentative Indian, I won by kicking the ball in his court and he is also happy about it.
1091 யார் பொறுப்பு
எதுவெனத் தெரியாது எதையோ இழந்தேன்
ஏனெனத் தெரியாது கலங்கியே நின்றேன்
அதையே அறிந்திட உன்னிடம் வந்தேன்
அதைநீ சொல்லிட மவுனமும் கொண்டேன்
உன்னிடம் உள்ள உறவில் இல்லையென்றாய்
எனக்குள்ள உரிமையை இழக்கலை என்றாய்
அனுதினம் பணிந்திட மறக்கலை என்றாய்
ஆயினும் ஒன்றை இழந்தாய் என்றாய்
“என்ன சொல்லி உன்னையே அழைத்தேன்
எந்த நிலையில் உன்னை மீட்டெடுத்தேன்
இடையினில் பலமுறை தவறிய போதும்
எதற்காய் மீண்டும் உன்னையும் சேர்த்தேன்
என்னைத் துதிக்கத் தூதரா இல்லை
என்தொண்டு செய்ய மனிதரா இல்லை
என்புகழ் ஏத்திட்ட நாவுமா இல்லை
என்சித்தம் செய்ய தொண்டரா இல்லை
எத்தனை பாடல்கள் எழுதினால் என்ன
எனக்கென வாழ்ந்து பயனுமே என்ன
ஆதியில் கொண்ட அன்பை இழந்தபின்
வீம்புக்கு எதனைச் செய்துமே என்ன?”
இதற்கான பதிலோ என்னிடம் இல்லை
ஏனென்றால் எனக்கிது புதிதானதில்லை
உன்போல் அன்பு என்னிடம் இல்லை
இதற்குக் காரணம் நானுமே இல்லை
நிலையில்லா மனதைத் தந்தது யாரு?
நித்தமும் சோதனை வைத்தது யாரு
ஏதுமே நம்மை பிரிக்காது என்று
எனக்கு வாக்குமே தந்தது யாரு?
இதற்கான பதிலைத் தந்ததின் பின்னே
எப்படி இழந்தேன் என்பதைக் கூறு
இனிநானில்லை நீயென ஆனபின்
இழந்தால் அதற்கு பொறுப்புமே யாரு?
