311. I know you have mercy
For those who think only about you
And who come unto your feet
Nothing is lacking
I tell this with experience.
Those who forget themselves
And who deny themselves
And give them for others
I know that you have mercy (for them).
Those who have angry
And too much frustration
And who have no peace within them
There is no mercy, this too I know.
Those who have patience
And who tolerate
And who understood their responsibility
You become their strength, I know this.
Those who find fault
And who live by complaining often
And refuse to see good in others
Will never have comfort, this I understood
I have all these within me
And I lost your support
Yet pleading not to forsake me
I come unto you
Is this correct on your part
Is it right for you to become angry with me?
Is it right for you to reject this slave?
Who come and plead unto you?
Where else can I go?
To whom I can tell this?

As I cannot sleep, I got up and began to think various things about the Lord and my relationship with Him. When I think only myself, I become more self-centred and self-righteous. Then I get depression. But when I think about my relationship with the lord; or His relationship with me, then I found a solace there. That time I wrote this song.
311. தயவுண்டு அறிவேனே
உன்னையே நினைப்போர்க்கு
உன்னடி வருவோர்க்கு
ஒன்றிலும் குறைவில்லை
உணர்ந்துநான் சொன்னேனே
தன்னையே மறப்போர்க்கு
தன்நிலை மறுப்போர்க்கு
தன்னையே தருவோர்க்கு
தயவுண்டு அறிவேனே
ஆத்திரம் கொண்டோர்க்கு
அவசரம் உடையோர்க்கு
அமைதி அற்றோர்க்கு
அருளில்லை என்பேனே
பொறுமை உடையோர்க்கு
பொறுத்துப் போவோர்க்கு
பொறுப்பை அறிந்தோர்க்கு
பெலனாவாய் அறிவேனே
குறையே காண்போர்க்கு
குறைசொல்லிப் பிழைப்போர்க்கு
குணம்காண மறுப்போர்க்கு
நலமில்லை புரிந்தேனே
இவையனைத்தும் கொண்டேனே
ஆதரவிழந்தேனே
ஆனாலும் தள்ளாதே
என்றே வந்தேனே
முறையிது ஆகுமோ
முனிவதும் தகுமோ
முறையிடும் அடியேனை
தள்ளுதல் நியாயமோ?
எங்குநான் போவேன்
எவரிடம் கூறுவேன்
