The following poem I wrote in my response to the article that came in India Today, June 15, 1994, pp. 146-152: Playing Mixed Doubles’, which shared about ‘woman swapping’ in cities.
22 Non-humans
The life on this earth is a burden indeed
A difficult life with full of sins
But who is there to save us
For us not get perished completely?
The way desire, anger, lust and greed
Are gone beyond their limits
However we try
We find it hard to overcome them
Thinking the temporary pleasure as permanent one
And drowning the heart in lust
What will be the end result to this?
Game of lust which these ‘non-humans’ are playing
Thinking to enjoy another man’s wife
And pushing one’s own wife to commit adultery
What to say the condition of such people
As they change themselves like non-humans without any limitation
This unethical practice should go
And before they do much damage we should protect the society
Those who want to uphold dharma
Should join hands to fight against it
Before it goes beyond anybody’s control

22 மாக்கள்
பாரமே இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கை
பாவம் நிறைந்ததோர் கடின வாழ்க்கை
ஆருளார் ஐயகோ இதில் கறைத்தேற்ற?
அழிந்திடும் எம்நிலை முற்றிலும் மாற்ற
காமம், கோரதம், லோபம், மோகம்
கட்டறுந்த நிலையிலே போட்டிடும் ஆட்டம்
எத்தனை முயன்றாலும் இதை மேற்கொள்ள
யாராலும் முடியாது ஐயோ என்சொல்ல?
கனநேர சுகமே பெரிதன எண்ணி
காமத் தீயிலே மனதைத் தள்ளி
கட்டுக்கடங்காமல் இம் “மாக்கள்” போடும்
காமக் களியாட்டின் முடிவென்ன ஆகும்
பிறர் மனைவி தன்னையே பெண்டாள எண்ணி
தன்மனைவி தன்னையே தாசியாகப் பண்ணி
தறிகெட்ட மிருகமாய் தம்மையுமே மாற்றி
தடுமாறும் மாந்தரின் நிலமையே என்ன?
சீர்கெட்ட இந்நிலை மாற்றிட வேண்டும்
சேதம் பெருகும்முன் காத்திட வேண்டும்
நேர்மை விரும்பிடும் மாந்தரே வாரும்
காரியம் கைமீறும்முன் போராட இங்கு
