405 Come and see
Come and see
Listen, as He is knocking at the door
Giving up His own nature
The one who came as our own— Come and see….
You need not go anywhere seeking Him
You need not search every place
You need not do yajnas by reading Veda
And you need not take so many vows– Come and see….
As you open the heart silently
And when you call the Noble one inside
He will come in and mingle with you
And will save you by giving Himself for you–Come and see….
Why this hesitation any more
And thinking which you become so shy
As you rejected so many times in the past
Don’t stand now with any hesitation– Come and see….
He won’t reject you any more
And won’t say anything to hurt us
If we call Him in any situation with much pain
He will never forsake us anymore– Come and see….
I too was like you one time
Even after knowing the truth, I threw Him away
Yet He kept eternal patience
And with much love called me back and made me His own– Come and see….

As I opened Muktiveda to read today’s portion, suddenly the first line came in my mind as an inspiration. I don’t know why that line continues to echo without allowing me to read Muktiveda. So stopping reading, I wrote this song and then continued my regular reading. There is no reason for such inspiration. We cannot say when it will come, but once it comes, it will compel us to write it down. Otherwise the same lines will continue to echo again and again in our mind.
405 வந்துதான் பாரு
வந்துதான் நீயும் பாரு–அவன்
வாசலில் நின்று தட்டுறான் கேளு
சொந்தத் தன்மை தானும் துறந்திட்டு
சொந்தமாய் நமக்கு ஆகியே வந்தானை–வந்து…
தேடித்தான் நீயும் போக வேண்டாம்
தேசம் எங்கும் தேட வேண்டாம்
வேதம் ஓதி வேள்விகள் செய்து
வேண்டுதல் பலநீ செய்யவும் வேண்டாம்–வந்து…
மெளனமாய் மனதை நீ திறக்க
அந்த மேலவனை உள்ளே அழைக்க
உன்னுள்ளே வந்து ஒன்றிக் கலந்து
தன்னையே தந்து உன்னையும் காப்போனை–வந்து…
இன்னும் ஏன் வீணான தயக்கம்
எதனை எண்ணிக் கொள்கிறாய் வெட்கம்
தட்டிக் கழித்தேன் பலமுறை என்று
தயங்கித் தயங்கி நிற்காமல் நீயும்–வந்து…
புறம் தள்ளிட மாட்டான்–நாம்
புண்பட ஒன்றும் சொல்லிட மாட்டான்
எந்த நிலையிலும் வருந்தி அழைக்க
என்றுமே நம்மைக் கைவிட மாட்டான்–வந்து…
உன்னைப் போல நானும் இருந்தேன்
உண்மை அறிந்துமே தூக்கி எறிந்தேன்
ஆயினும் நீடித்த பொறுமை காத்தான்
அன்புடன் அழைத்து மீண்டுமே சேர்த்தான்–வந்து…
