438 The responsibility that He gave
When we watch the nature, sweet music will come
And rejoicing, our heart will sing about God
Trees, creepers and plants will dance joyfully
And they will praise the One who takes care of the creation
The sun also rose silently
And joined with us to glorify the Lord
And the birds also worship Him with music
And my heart also mingled with them.
Silently I bowed at His feet
And overcame by joy I sat quietly
And I saw His face longing to have this bliss
All the time in life
Yet the responsibilities disturbed the inner silence
And the everyday works gave pressure
Thinking the few minutes which He gave to
Worship Him; I got up (from my meditation)
Knowing that this is the reality in life
And thinking about my love towards Him
And to do the responsibilities which He gave
I got up to do them well with His strength
Gurukulam, 7-6-16, 6.10 pm.
When I get up in the morning I saw the beautiful eastern reddish sky. The serenity that surrounded me again mesmerised me. Though I want to go to the bath room urgently, yet I don’t want to get disturbed by other things and sat calmly on my cot just enjoying the nature and worshiping the Lord. Then I longed to be here as I can often have such mystic experience—which of course might last for few minutes. But, as usual, my mind began to diverted by thinking other things that I need to day (preparing breakfast for the guest, cooking, assigning works for the helpers, things need to buy for the weekend meeting etc. etc.). Then out of compulsion I got up thanking God at least giving few minutes to enjoy the nature and worship Him along with it. When I went for my evening walk, again I began to recall that wonderful experience in the morning and wrote this song.
438 அவன்தந்த கடமை
இயற்கையைக் கண்டால் இன்னிசை பிறக்கும்
இதயமும் மகிழ்ந்து இறைவனைப் பாடும்
மரம், செடி, கொடிகள் மகிழ்ந்தே ஆடும்
மன்னுயிர் காக்கும் இறைவனைப் போற்றும்
ஆதவன் கூட அமைதியாய் எழுந்தான்
ஐயனைப் போற்ற நம்முடன் இணைந்தான்
இன்னிசை பாடிப் புள்ளினம் துதிக்க
என்னுளம் அவற்றுடன் ஒன்றியேகலக்க
அமைதியுடனே அவனடி பணிந்தேன்
ஆனந்தம் மேலிட மவுனமாய் அமர்ந்தேன்
இந்நிலை தன்னிலே என்றுமே இருக்க
ஏக்கமே கொண்டு அவன்முகம் பார்த்தேன்
ஆயினும் கடமைகள் அமைதியைக் கலைக்க
அன்றாடப் பணிகள் அவற்றுடன் நெருக்க
சிலநொடிகளேனும் அவனடி பணிய
தந்த கிருபையை எண்ணி எழுந்தேன்
இதுதான் உண்மை என்பதை உணர்ந்து
என்மீது அவன்கொண்ட அன்பையே நினைந்து
அவன்தந்த கடமையைத் திறம்படச் செய்ய
அவன்தரும் பெலத்துடன் அவனுடன் நடந்தேன்
