548 Your Veda
Your Veda is the lamp for me
To show the path in darkness
It will help me get up when I stumble
And keep me anchored in you
When I am disturbed it will comfort me
And will protect me as the apple of the eye
When I go astray
It will stop me by becoming a stick
It will take and lead me
By showing the will of God for me
When I will transgress beyond limit
It will warn and correct me
Explaining your compassion
It will make me to obey you
In order to understand your glory more
It will enlighten my inner light
Without Veda there is no other way
For us to understand about you
And there is none other than you
To realize its greatness
By giving the Veda you redeemed us
And having mercy upon us you gave that to us
To know more about you through that
You helped us to live in you

For me The Word of God is foundational for my bhakti. Of course we disagree in our interpretation and understanding. But in every sampradaya, the respective Scripture is the foundation for it. Nobody can claim that she understood about God (of that particular sampradaya [sect]) rejecting its foundational scripture.
548 உனது வேதம்
உனது வேதம் எனது தீபம்
இருளின் ஊடே வழியைக் காட்ட
இடறி வீழ்ந்தால் தூக்கி எடுக்கும்
என்றும் உன்னில் நிலைக்க வைக்கும்
கலங்கும் நேரம் தேற்றி அணைக்கும்
கண்ணின் இமைபோல் என்னைக் காக்கும்
காவல் மீறிச் செல்லும் போது
கோலாய் மாறி என்னை மறிக்கும்
இறைவன் சித்தம் இன்ன தென்று
எனக்கு உணர்த்தி அழைத்துச் செல்லும்
எல்லை மீறிப் போகும் முன்னால்
எச்சரித்து என்னைத் திருத்தும்
உனது கருணை அதனை விளக்கி
என்றும் உன்னைப் பணியவைக்கும்
உனது மேன்மை மேலும் அறிய
உள்ளின் ஒளியை ஏற்றி வைக்கும்
வேதம் அன்றி உன்னை அறிய
வேறு வழியோ எமக்கு இல்லை
அதனின் சிறப்பை அறிந்து கொள்ள
உன்னை விட்டால் வழியும் இல்லை
வேதம் தந்து எம்மை உய்த்தாய்
இரக்கம் கொண்டு எமக்குத் தந்தாய்
அதனைக் கொண்டு உன்னை அறிந்து
என்றும் உன்னில் வாழவைத்தாய்
