379. They ran
Though they ran without responding anything
What are the things they were contemplating within?
Did they rejoice in His Resurrection?
As He already told about it?
Did they reach the grave?
Buying the spices
And encouraging the depressed heart
In order to embalm the noble one according to the tradition
Getting up before the sun raise
And looking all around with much fear
And rushing to the grave before others could notice
And when they reached the front of the cave
As its mouth remain opened
And they went inside with much hesitation
A man dressed in white dress
Proclaimed that noble news (to them)
“Did you come searching after the Lord?
Who hanged on the Tree?
Look and see the place where He was kept
And the divine one is already gone
Go and tell you to those
Disciples who belong to Him
That He will come as He promised
And tell this to those fools”.
And those women who were trembling
Losing their words as their tongue get dried
Unable to utter anything as they were afraid
And ran from there
Though they ran without saying anything
What all the things they were thinking in their mind
But when they conveyed the news accordingly
The disciples didn’t believe their words.

This is based on Mark. 16:1-8. As I was reading my regular portion from Muktiveda, when I read this section, as I got the inspiration, I wrote this song. There is nothing to add here as it is a small attempt by me to present these verses in poetic form, as I like to scripture in poetic form to prose one.
379. ஓடினார்கள்
ஒன்றும் சொல்லாமல் ஓடினாலும்
அவர் உள்ளுக்குள் என்ன எண்ணினாரோ
சொன்னபடி அவன் உயிர்த்தெழுந்த அந்தச்
செய்தியில் ஆனந்தம் கொண்டாரோ
வாசனைத் திரவியம் வாங்கிக் கொண்டு
வாடிய மனதையும் தேற்றிக் கொண்டு
ஏற்றபடி நாமினி ஏந்தலுக்குக்
காப்பிட வேண்டும் என வந்தனரே
சூரியன் தோன்றும்முன் எழுந்திருந்து
சுற்றும் முற்றும் பார்த்துப் பயந்திருந்து
யாரும் பாராமுன் விரைந்து வந்து
கல்லரை வாயிலை அடைந்த போது
அதன் வாயில் திறந்திருக்க, அதன்
உள்ளே தயங்கியே சென்று நிற்க
வெள்ளை உடையைத் தரித்த ஒருவன்
உன்னத செய்தியைச் சொன்னானே
’தேடித்தான் நீங்களும் வந்தீர்களோ
தருவினில் தொங்கிய ஆண்டவரை
வைத்த இடத்தையும் பாருங்கள், அந்த
விண்ணவர் முன்னமே சென்றுவிட்டார்
சென்று நீங்களும் சொல்லிடுவீர்
அவர் சொந்தமாய் ஆன சீடனிடம்
சொன்னபடி அவர் முன்வருவார்
சொல்லுவீர் அந்தப் பேதையிடம்’
நடுக்கம் கொண்ட நங்கையரும்
நாவும் வறண்டு சொல்லிழந்து
ஏதும் சொல்லாமல் பயந்திருந்து
எடுத்தனர் ஓட்டம் அங்கிருந்து
சொல்லாமல் அவர்களும் ஓடினாலும்
சிந்தையில் என்னென்ன எண்ணினாரோ
சொல்லியபடியே செய்தியைச் சொன்னபோது
சீடரோ அவர்சொல்லை நம்பவில்லை
